March 2024 Southeast Alaska Interagency Landslide Working Group Summary Report
Between March 5 and 6, 2024 representatives from municipalities, Tribes, state and federal agencies, universities, and non-governmental organizations met in Sitka, Alaska to develop an interagency working group on landslide risk reduction. This report describes the major parts of the meeting and provides a detailed listing of which agencies are working to reduce landslide risk in the region, contacts in those agencies, agency roles, and the assets they have available. This report also summarizes a discussion by community members regarding their needs with respect to landslide risk reduction. Finally, it describes some of the major conclusions drawn from the two days of discussion. A contact list of all working group attendees can also be found at the end of the summary report.
